About JASC

  • Janatics Automation Skill Challenge is an educational initiative by JANATICS for training the students in automation skills and broaden the young minds to be innovative which eventually helps them in widening their career opportunities and winning probabilities.

    “JANATICS AUTOMATION SKILL CHALLENGE” is a hackathon style competition organized by Janatics. The Event aims at providing Participants with an opportunity to delve into the vast landscape of Automation technologies, by taking up a challenge to develop a part of the process and integrate it with a system to complete the process.

Event Schedule

The Schedule for the Competition is as follows:

  • Note : The participants will be provided options to choose their schedule for the qualifier Stage 1 & 2 evaluation. The options will be made available in the portal itself once when the respective stage starts.

  • PROCESS FLOW :



  • Note : This competition will also ask students to undergo some training. But that is only to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to compete. At any point in time, JANATICS will not be asking for any fees or money from the participants for the same.


  • PRE-QUALIFIER :
    • The pre-qualifier includes details like the general instructions of the competition, rules and regulations, terminologies, followed by elearning modules on different technologies.
    • This round doesn’t end with only theoretical learning. The pre-qualifier round will also give some physical activities like practicing using our online application (VMAL App) and optionally visiting one of our center to see some automation equipment.
    • In the theoretical learning, the participants will be able to learn about Pneumatic, Electro-Pneumatic, PLC, Sensorics, Vacuum and an overview of the mechatronics system, which helps students to grasp the fundamental technical instruction required to complete the Janatics Automation Skill Challenge.
    • In order to advance to the qualifying phase, participants must successfully finish the "JASC 2024 E-Learning Course" with a minimum score of 40%.
    • After clearing the E-Learning course, practice using VMAL App (Mobile and Desktop) editions on how to build an automation system. Candidates must play and pass both the desktop and mobile editions to be eligible for the qualifier round.
    • If the candidates wishes to learn more about the systems and their functionality, they can visit a nearby JANATICS or partner center in the region to gain hands-on experience. The list of center and the registration forms for each centers are available in the portal as you go through the course to confirm your visit to the center.
    QUALIFIER

    Note : The participant must present the project (for both Stage 1 & Stage 2) through a PowerPoint presentation and demonstrate it via an online call established by JANATICS. The presentation should not take more than 15 minutes, followed by questions for 10 minutes. After the final presentation, the jury will evaluate and qualify the finalist. (The ppt format will be uploaded in our elearning course on 1st July 2024).
